• Adjacent is the 3rd largest hospital in the World – Chris Hani-Baragwanath hospital.
• Journey on through the “birthplace” of The 10 point Freedom Charter (1955) – The Walter Sisulu Square of dedication, Kliptown.

Kliptown is the oldest township of Soweto and has a fascinating history of its own.
• 10 Point Freedom Charter Memorial
• 1955 Congress of the People Document was drafted here & it chartered the path for South Africa’s liberal constitution.
• The Regina Mundi Catholic Church was an instrumental haven of refuge during various periods of political upheaval and protest in Soweto & TRC Hearings.
• An acclaimed painting “The Back Madonna of Soweto” by Lawrence Scully is housed here.
• Lunch will be at any of various Soweto Establishments or Homes. We choose places off the Beaten Track for Unique Experiences.
Hector Pietersen Museum & Memorial.
• Memorial and Museum to commemorate the youth who sacrificed their lives during Student Uprisings of 1976
The Nelson Mandela House Museum (Drive/ Walk -By or entry per arrangement)
• The house is situated on Vilakazi Street, named for Dr Vilakazi who was instrumental in translating the English Dictionary into isiZulu and was a lecturer at Wits University.
The Street is also renowned for being the only street in the world where 2 Nobel Peace Prize Laureates have lived viz. Bishop Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela.
